Sparrow’s Philly Cheesesteaks Food Truck Update 1#

We are very excited to be involved in converting an old US Postal truck into Sparrow’s Philly Cheesesteak’s first food truck!

The Philly Cheesteak has been around since 1930 after Pat Olivieri, a hot dog vendor in Philadelphia came up with his creation (cheese steak sandwich). Since then Geno Sparrow has shared his Philadelphia background with Sammy Lynch in Australia to spread the success of Philly Cheesteaks which in Philadelphia are a tourist attraction, and a cultural obsession.

Switch has completed detailed designs and is in the construction stage of fitting out the US Postal truck. This involves understanding requirements for food hygiene and other Australian Standards, Energy Safe Victoria requirements, as well as safety requirements for the vehicles whilst in transit between locations and when delivering the service at various locations. Looking forward to seeing the finished truck very soon!
